In dem groß angelegten Projekt „Cellomondo“ wird das genuin europäische Instrument dem kompositorischen, oftmals experimentellen Zugriff in gänzlich anderen Kulturräumen ausgesetzt. Dies führt zu faszinierend neuartigen klanglichen und strukturellen Ergebnissen, die im besten Sinne interkulturell angelegt sind und neue Horizonte des Musizierens eröffnen. Das Projekt „Cellomondo“ wird vor Beginn des Konzerts in einem dokumentarischen Film vorgestellt. Katharina Gross, die Initiatorin des Projekt schreibt dazu: In my project cellomondo, I want to share my fascination with the diversity of musical individuality. It ́s exciting to move through a multitude of sound worlds, to learn the mother tongue of many composers and to tell their stories to the audience.
